Forest Work & Potluck

Come join our Land Committee members as we enhance the woods and whistle while we work!

We have a good start on the work. Yes, there is physical activity such as cutting and pulling invasive vines and plants, but you can also help plan what kind of native trees, bushes, flowers, and grasses we should purchase. We are planning to start a nursery, protect our new plantings from the deer, organize educational discussions about forest preservation and/or tours. Bring gloves, clippers, loppers, hand saws, and boots – or we can supply some of these.

This is the first of several fall work parties. If you cannot make this one, please put in your calendar:

  • Saturday, Sept 28th, 9 am – 12pm (hosted by Dave and Sue next door at 2233 Kimberton Rd.)

  • Thursday, Oct 10th, 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm

  • Saturday, Oct 26th, 9 am – 12 pm

We will gather in the back of 2237 Kimberton Road. Please RSVP if you would like to join us. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the land, meet some of our future residents, and find out about our project.  Please bring a potluck dish to share for a meal after we work a couple of hours.  Park at the Village Parking Lot at 18 Prizer Road, walk up to the Kimberton Road intersection, then up the hill six houses.
