Non-Violent Communication

Come hear Katie Tandon talk about ways we can relate together.

We are so lucky Katie has offered to work with us!  She recently presented a 9-week training course from the great work of the trans-personal psychologist and writer Marshall Rosenberg. So, this will just be a taste!  Katie says: "This work is wonderful, but a radical way of thinking, so many questions will arise!"

The work of Marshall Rosenberg, author of Non-Violent Communication, changed the world of negotiations between governments, and between governments and terrorists, as well as in business and personal lives. This brilliant work grows emotional intelligence and empathy, while teaching us to understand our own and others’ motivations and ask for what we want in a way that is more likely to succeed.

Inspired by Mahatma Ghandi, Rosenberg believes we can create a more peaceful and compassionate world by bringing empathy into our everyday communications. Rosenberg created a form of communication that honored his spiritual intentions and worked from his doctorate in psychology.

For social change agents, as well as those who would like to improve relational communications, this is excellent work. We will use Rosenberg's training curriculum and discuss empathic principles offered by the work.
